The Columbia University Undergraduate Scholarship Program is open only to incoming first-year, second-year, and third-year students from the United States and other countries. The prize package includes a $6,000 stipend as well as housing.

Prerequisites/Requirements for Participation: Applicants must satisfy all of the following requirements to be considered:
No applicants who are now citizens or permanent residents of the United States will be considered.
Applicants who are not applying for the summer session will be disqualified.
All applicants are expected to have research experience and to have completed advanced science courses.
A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher is required, as well as completion of general biology and/or introductory chemistry at the collegiate level and prior experience in research.
